LET’S KEEP FROME INDEPENDENT
If you live in Market Ward in Frome (the centre of town and trinity) you will be able to vote in a by election for Frome Town council on October 9th.
We are trying to keep Frome indpenenent. Led town council since 2011, and fully indpendnet since 2015.
Our candidate lyndsey is a storng, articulate and passionate voice for forme and will work with mark dorringont to represent market ward.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE IN MARKET WARD
WHAT IFF HAS DONE IN MARKET WARD:
In 2022 we made our town centre a priority. Somerset Council is failing to keep our town centre clean and tidy, and key services open. We’ve stepped up and stepped in to fill the gap:
We’ve employed a dedicated Town Centre Ranger to keep our Town Centre tidy. He’s installed planters, tackled weeds, cleaned up graffiti, and so much more!
We’ve saved Market Yard Toilets from permanent closure with no alternative provision by Somerset Council. Unfortunately, we’ve had to close them for now as they are at the end of their life. We are paying The Cheese and Grain for use of their toilets, and this autumn we will ask your opinion on what we should do with them long-term, including the option of funding a full refurbishment.
We’ve taken on our weekly markets, and are working with the traders and the Frome Independent to create a bustling local market.
We’ve worked with the local community to transform Milk Street Green.
We’ve held events including the Lantern Parade and Christmas Light Switch-On.
We mad ethe town centre a priority and added a specifica area of work in 2022.
